ARLINGTON, Va. -- In a tight-knit battle with visiting ODAC program Randolph College, Marymount men's soccer earns a tie against the WildCats in front of their home crowd.

With the tie, the Saints' record now sits at 3-3-3 on the season ahead of another match up on Sunday.

NOTABLE

• The Saints outshout the WildCats 12-8 in the match, with four being on target.
• Erick Shoetter-Rojas and Jefferson Lopez Coreas each had two shots in the match, both knocking one on goal.
• Alex Rendon Benitez had a shot on goal off of the bench for the Saints.
• Nicolas Robles had two shots, one on target.
• Brian Alegria, Francisco Rodriguez, Joel Claros, Matthew Guzman-Veizaga, and Broxmyn Chang-Stroman each added a shot in the tie.
• Earning the shutout, Liam Sloan had two saves in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first half proved to be a tight one, with both teams managing possession in the midfield. Robles took the first shot of the match for the Saints in the 33rd minute, but it was saved by the Randolph goalkeeper.
• Back-to-back shots from Claros and Chang-Stroman finished off the offense in the first half, sending the match to intermission with a 0-0 score.
• Down the stretch of the second half, the Saints continued to add offensive pressure, trying to find their way into the net. A shot from Lopez Coreas was narrowly saved by the WildCats to keep the game evened up.
• MU continued to wail shots towards the net, but unable to find the back of it, sending the match to the end scoreless.

UP NEXT

• The Saints will hit the pitch again quickly, taking the trip to Penn State Berks on Monday, Sept. 23, for a 7 PM kick off.
• They will begin Atlantic East action next weekend, heading to Gwynedd Mercy to take on the Griffins Saturday, Sept. 28 at 3 PM.
• MU will come back home Monday, Sept. 30 to take on neighboring Gallaudet.
