Arlington, VA– Neither Marymount nor Hood could break the deadlock with a full ninety minutes of no goals scored for either team.

This brings the Saints' record to 1-5-2.  

NOTABLE

• The Saints dominated in shots on goal having 11 shots on frame compared to 2 for the Blazers.
• The top shooters of the game were Nicole Alvarado with three shots on goal and both Daniela Carillo-Torres and Minnie Morris with two shots each.
• Marymount's defense maintained the shutout with minimal shots faced and only two shots on goal allowed that were easily stopped by Hannah Mockenhaupt.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The game began with a back and forth in possession between the two teams. Hood shot first with two unsuccessful shots going wide. Marymount immediately retaliated with a shot of their own attempted by Alvarado in the 7^th minute that was saved by Hood's goalie.
• The first half ended with 3 more goal attempts for the Saints and a continued no goals across the board.
• The second half saw a lot of effort from the Saints with an additional 13 shots including a few o- goal attempts that forced the Blazers' goalie to make some good saves, preventing the Saints from taking the lead.
• Marymount continued to play a possessive game, maintaining control of the pace of play.
• The game ended in a tie with neither team being able to breach the goal line against their opponents. This ended the game 0-0.

• Marymount's next game will be home on Sept. 25th for a match against Saint Mary's College of Maryland at Long Bridge Park with a start time at 6pm.
