WINCHESTER, Va. - Marymount baseball fell in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon to bow out of playoff action.
The Saints complete the season thus far with a 31-11 record.
GAME ONE: IMMACULATA 9 - MARYMOUNT 0
GAME TWO: CABRINI 5 - MARYMOUNT 4, 10 INNINGS
- The Saints got on the board first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth, first with an RBI bunt from Chad Singleton and a tricky play on the basepaths with Kevin Knoess scoring before Daniel Fernandez was ultimately caught stealing.
- The Cavaliers pushed three across in the top of the fifth to take the lead.
- Marymount evened up the tally in the bottom of the eighth with an RBI single off the bat of Jonathan McMath.
- Cabrini pushed two across in the top of the 10th inning to give themselves an opportunity to head to the championship.
- The Saints threatened a walk off in the bottom of the 10th, with Cuadros punching an RBI double to score Bobby Leitzel. Wtih two away and the bases loaded, Reilly knocked a deep fly ball to left that was tracked down to end the Saints' journey.
UP NEXT
- The Saints will wait to see if they can receive an at-large bid into the NCAA Regional Tournament.
