ARLINGTON -- Marymount men's lacrosse dropped a battle against a quality St. Mary's squad on a chilly Wednesday night, 22-9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- St. Mary's scored the game's first two goals before Marymount responded with a goal from Bryan Maguire (4G) to cut the deficit with 8:28 left in the first quarter.
- The Seahawks held a 5-2 lead after one quarter.
- Maguire added two more tallies late in the half to head into intermission trailing, 10-5.
- St. Mary's scored the first six goals of the third quarter to take a commanding 16-5 lead.
- Jack Williams returned to action and scored two fourth-quarter goals and added an assist.
- The Seahawks rounded out the scoring with 23 seconds left to win, 22-9.
- Ian Fructuoso (1G, 3A) and Gavin Taylorson (1G, 1A) were strong offensive contributors.
- Santino Rossitto caused two turnovers and Austin Bergey went 5-for-5 in face-off opportunities.
