FREDERICK, Md. -- An early lead for Marymount men's lacrosse finished with a back-and-forth battle on Saturday afternoon with Hood prevailing in the end, 12-11. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marymount started out hot, holding a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. 
• A 4-0 stretch for Hood across the second and third quarters gave the Blazers a 6-5 lead. 
• The two sides traded goals throughout the second half with Marymount leading 8-7 on a man-up goal from Santino Rossitto (3G) before earning a 10-10 tie after a man-up goal from Kai Goo with 5:13 left in the game. 
• Hood clinched the win with two late goals before one final tally from Marymount rounded out the scoring, 12-11. 
• Jack WIlliams (2G, 1A) and Bryan Maguire (2G, 1A) were strong contributers offensively. 
• Marymount's man-up offense (5-of-6) and man-down defense (1-of-10) were highlights for the Saints. 
• The Saints also held a 45-34 shots advantage.

• The Saints will have a week off before traveling to Hood on Saturday, March 2 at 12 PM. 
• Marymount will next play at Long Bridge Park on Saturday, March 9 at 1 PM when it hosts Stockton.
