IMMACULATA, Pa. -- Marymount women's basketball withstood a strong third-quarter push from Immaculata on Saturday afternoon but the Saints kept their composure and pulled away for an 82-62 victory.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter was a back-and-forth battle before Marymount closed on a 12-2 run to take a 26-16 advantage through 10 minutes.Â
- Marymount continued its strong play in the second quarter, rolling up a lead as big as 25 before settling in for a 49-26 lead at halftime.Â
- In a fast-and-furious third quarter in which Immaculata outscored MU 28-21, the Macs cut the deficit to 12 before three buckets from Terra Dzambo and Kyla Treadwell stopped the bleeding.Â
- Things settled down in the fourth quarter and Marymount was able to pull away for the 82-62 win.Â
- Symantha Shackelford led all scorers with 26 points and went 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.Â
- Chandler Eddleton had 14 points and 15 rebounds on the day.Â
- Terra Dzambo (14 points) and Kyla Treadwell (10 points) rounded out the double-digit scorers.
- Samantha Bulik went 3-of-3 from the field for eight points off the bench.Â
- Marymount lived in the paint outscoring the Macs 58-32 inside the key.Â

- Marymount will remain on the road next Saturday, Feb. 10 at Gwynedd Mercy. Tip-off is set for 1 PM.Â
- The Saints will return to Converse Family Fieldhouse for the regular-season finale on Friday, Feb. 16 at 6 PM against Centenary.Â
