GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. -- It was another wire-to-wire victory on Saturday for Marymount women's basketball as the Saints used a stout defensive performance to pick up a 62-37 road victory over Gwynedd Mercy. The Saints improved to 8-0 in conference play and extend their current winning streak to six games.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marymount started slow right out of the gate but never looked back after taking a 4-2 with 6:19 left in the first quarter.
- A 21-8 lead after the first quarter stretched to a 36-15 lead at halftime.
- A strong defense held Gwynedd Mercy at bay as the Saints rolled to the 62-37 victory.
- Marymount held Gwynedd to 20.0 percent from the field and allowed the fewest points of any opponent this season.
- Samantha Bulik came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers on her way to a career-high 14 points.
- Chandler Eddleton had 16 points and 14 rebounds while Symantha Shackelford added 15 points.
