Men's Basketball Finishes Season Sweep of Griffins

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - Marymount men's basketball moved to 8-2 overall in conference play, taking down the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins on their court by a final tally of 74-59.

NOTABLE
  • Isaac Harris and Wyatt Hockenberry each dropped a team-high 14 points for the Saints, with Harris adding eight total boards to his credit.
  • Marcus Stubbs notched 12 on the evening in the win while also dishing a pair of assists and notching a steal. He now sits at just 14 points away from 1,000 career points scored.
  • CJ Highsmith Jr. and Jack Bifano led the Saints on the glass with 12 apiece.
  • Jack Farrelly had 10 off of the bench for Marymount, going 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. 
  • Marymount used a strong second half, outscoring GMU 39-28, to hold onto their lead they took into halftime.
  • The Saints led by as much as 17 late in the contest to secure the win and continue to push towards a hosting opportunity in the upcoming AEC Tournament.
UP NEXT
  • The Saints will head into the final week of regular season play.
  • They first head to Neumann on Tuesday, with tip off scheduled for 8 PM.
  • They'll finish out the regular season at home, hosting Centenary on Friday at 8 PM.
  • Friday's game will be senior day for the Saints.
