LEXINGTON, Va. -- Marymount women's basketball hit the court after the break on the road, taking on #6 Washington & Lee down in the valley.
Falling by the nationally-touted Generals, 70-44, the Saints drop to 2-7 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Generals got on the board first to start off the Sunday affair, but Achtyl answered with a drivin layup to get the Saints offense moving.
- Down 15-9 with just under four minutes to go in the first quarter, Vollmer dropped a three to cut into the W&L lead.
- The Saints held close down the stretch of the first quarter, sending the teams to the benches down by just five.
- Back-to-back jumpers inside of the line from Barr to start to second quarter put MU within one, with Ella Morrison drawing a foul and dropping a free throw to even up the tally.
- Ceroll put a tip-in layup in the basket to end the scoring for Marymount in the first half, down just 29-24.
- The Generals came out of the locker room hot, ultimately holding the Saints at bay the third and fourth quarters to take the match up.
