Long Bridge/Arlington, VA– Marymount celebrated senior day with a win against the Centenary Cyclones.


This brings the Saints' record to 7-8-3. The Saints are still undefeated in conference play.

NOTABLE

• The Saints recognized 12 Seniors before todays match: Hannah Mockenhaupt, Grace Needham, Jordyn O'Driscoll, Breanna Harkins, Caileigh Barnett, Jessica Bui, Leah Hartsock, Jessica Calvert, Sheyla Inofuente, Noelia Melendez, Alice Almendras-Rocha, and Carsyn Jones.
• Carrillo-Torres, Daniela scored first for the Saints, once in the 18^th minute with an assist from Harkins, Breanna, and a second goal in the 52^nd minute of the game with a second assist by Harkins.
• Harkins, Breanna claimed the third goal of the game in the 58^th minute and the last goal of the game in the 70^th minute. The last goal was assisted by Diggs, Sophia.
• Needham, Grace and Mockenhaupt, Hannah split the game each playing a shut out half with no goals scored against.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marymount started the game with confidence, maintaining strong possession of the ball while denying Centenary any substantial offensive opportunities.
• The first goal for the Saints took place in the 18^th minute of the game scored by Carrillo-Torres and assisted by Harkins. This goal set the tone for how the Saints' offense would approach the game.
• The half ended with a score of 1-0. Marymount maintained the majority of possession and rejected all Centenary attempts at an offensive press.
• The second half saw even more action from the Saints with another Carrillo-Torres and Harkins team up to gain the second goal of the game in the 52^nd minute. The goal was scored by Carrillo-Torres and assisted by Harkins on the corner kick.
• Harkins had already done her fair share of assists and decided to claim a goal of her own. Harkins scored the third goal of the game in the 58^th minute of the second half.
• The Saints continued to dominate against the Cyclones in the second half with no real threats seen by the Marymount defense.
• To end the game a final goal was scored by Harkins in the 70^th minute to bring home the victory for the Saints.
• The game ended in a 4-0 win for the Saints and a successfully celebrated senior day.

• The next game for the Saints will be the last game before conference tournament play starts. The game will take place on Wednesday October 30^th at 5pm. The Saints will face off against Neumann University at Long Bridge Park in Arlington, VA.
