Marymount Shoots Down the Cannoneers in a 4-0 Victory

Brooklyn, NY – Shots were fired by the Saints in their 4-0 victory against Pratt Institute.  
 
This brings the Saints' record to 4-8-2. The Saints are still undefeated in conference play.

NOTABLE
  • The Saints had 25 shots to the Cannoneers 4 shots.
  • Alvarado, Nicole was the first to score in the game for Marymount with a goal in the 5th minute of the game. She was assisted by Tonic, Marissa.
  • Harkins, Breanna was the goal leader for the Saints today with her first goal of the game in the 14th minute, assisted by Alvarado, and her second in the 57th minute of the second half.
  • Diggs, Sophia scored the final goal of the game for the Saints. The goal took place in the 72nd minute of the second half.
  • Needham, Grace was the save leader for the Saints with 2 saves during her 45 minutes of play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Marymount took an early lead in the game with the first goal being achieved within the first five minutes of the game. The goal was scored by Alvarado and assisted by Tonic.
  • The Saints took their lead and continued momentum throughout the first half, gaining a second goal in the 14th minute. The second goal was score by Harkins and assisted by Alvarado.
  • The Marymount defense limited shot opportunities for Pratt, allowing only three shots in the first half.
  • The Saints' offense continued to push in the second half with the support of the defense.
  • Marymount took many shot opportunities with one shot from Harkins resulting in her second goal of the game. The goal took place during the 57th minute.
  • Both teams played aggressively throughout the second half with Pratt even drawing a yellow card in their attempts to slow down the Saints' offense.
  • Unfortunately for Pratt, the offense were not the only players that know how to score for the Saints. Defensive player and midfielder S. Diggs scored the final goal for the Saints in the 72nd minute securing the second win of the week for the Saints.
  • The score ended with a 4-0 Marymount victory.

  • The next game for the Saints will be on Wednesday Oct. 16 against Gwynedd Mercy University at 6pm. The game takes place at Long Bridge Park
