Chester County, PA–The Saints dominate in their win against Immaculata University with nearly 3 times the shot opportunities while on the road.
This brings the Saints' record to 3-8-2.
NOTABLE
- The Saints had 22 shots to the Mighty Macs 8
- Carrillo-Torres, Daniela scored first for Marymount in the 39th minute of the first half with an assist from Diggs, Sophia.
- Harkins, Breanna was next to score for the Saints with a goal scored in the 51st minute of the second half with an assist from Tonic, Marissa.
- Alvarado, Nicole scored the final goal for the Saints to secure the win in the 84th minute to end the game.
- Dufour, Mara maintained the win for the Saints with 5 saves throughout the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints started the game strong claiming an early offensive position by taking the first shot of the game within the first two minutes of the first half.
- Marymount continued to press the attack with numerous shots throughout the first half resulting in a goal before halftime scored by Carrillo-Torres.
- The second half began much like the first with the Saints taking the first shot.
- Continuing the offensive attack, Harkins scored the second goal for the Saints just over ten minutes into the second half.
- Dufour continued to defend the goal with only one shot making it across the line making the score 2-1.
- To end the game Alvarado secured one last goal for Marymount ensuring Immaculata was unable to even the score.
