ARLINGTON -- Marymount women's basketball picked up its second 30-point conference victory in a row with an 84-51 victory over Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After being recognized before the game as 1,000-point scorers, Chandler Eddleton (19 points, seven rebounds) and Symantha Shackelford (12 points, eight assists) continued to shine for the Saints as they improved to 4-0 in conference play with the win.
- Kyla Treadwell set a new career-high with 18 points as she went 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
- Terra Dzambo also reached double figures with a 10-point effort. She hit two triples as Marymount went 9-of-22 from three-point range on the evening.
- Marymount grabbed 19 offensive rebounds and held a remarkable 28-2 advantage in second chance points.
- The high-powered Marymount attack led to a 25-3 advantage in fast break points.
- Marymount hit a three-pointer to take a 3-0 lead with 8:20 to go in the first quarter and never trailed after that point.
- An 11-0 run to close the first half gave Marymount a 20-point advantage and allowed the Saints to cruise in the second half before eventually winning 84-51.
