HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – In a battle featuring the final two unbeaten teams in Atlantic East action, Marymount women's basketball made a statement on Saturday afternoon with a convincing 83-52 road win against Centenary.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Centenary tied the game at 7-7 halfway through the first quarter, Marymount rattled off a 16-1 run to close the period with a 23-8 advantage.
- The MU lead stretched to as many as 28 in the second quarter before the Saints went into halftime with a 44-21 lead.
- Marymount never let Centenary back in the game in the second half, leading by as many as 34 before eventually winning, 83-52.
- Chandler Eddleton continued to be dominant with another double-double. She had 24 points and 13 rebounds while adding three steals.
- Symantha Shackelford went 4-of-7 from beyond the arc en route to 19 points on the afternoon.
- Kyla Treadwell rounded out the double-digit scorers with 14 points.
- Marymount held Centenary to just 35.3 percent shooting on the day.
