ARLINGTON, Va. - Saints women's soccer played host to the Shorewomen of Washington College (Md.) on Wednesday evening, taking it down to the wire on the pitch.

Clean sheets from both teams led to a 0-0 draw in the match, pushing MU's record to 1-7-3 ahead of conference play coming up. 

NOTABLE

• Allina Mbuko and Izabella Lopez each put a shot on target in the match.
• Breanna Harkins punched a shot high in the contest. 
• The Marymount defense put together their third clean sheet of the season.
• Hannah Mockenhaupt, in goal, notched her first shutout of the season in the net.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Held shotless in the first half, the Saints held strong with shutdown defense to keep the match 0-0 heading into the half. 
• In the 52nd minute, Mbuko put a shot on target to try to break the stalemate, but a tough save from the Shorewomen goalkeeper kept the match evened up. 
• Lopez had a strong look in the 79th minute, trying to slot it in with her left foot, but another save kept the game at 0-0. 
• One final shot from Harkins, going out high off the foot, was the end of the offensive effort for the night, sending the game to the final whistle without the ball touching the back of the net for either side.

• MU will begin AEC play on Wednesday, hosting Immaculata at 6 PM.
