ARLINGTON, Va. - On a Sunday afternoon, Marymount women's soccer hosted the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University in a non-conference matchup at Long Bridge Park.
Falling 2-0 to SU, the Saints fall to 1-8-3 ahead of AEC action coming up this week.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Morris pushed in the opening minutes, trying to get the Saints an early lead with a shot in the eighth minute, but it soared high.
- The Sea Gulls found the back of the net in the 31st minute to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Saints played strong defense down the stretch of the first half to take the game into halftime down by a lone goal.
- Placido looked for the equalizer in the opening minutes of the second half, but a strong save from the Sea Gulls' goalkeeper kept the score put at 1-0.
- Harkins had a breakaway opportunity in the 64th minute, trying to power it past the pressing goalkeeper, but SU made the stop to thwart the opportunity.
- In the 75th minute, SU tacked on with their second goal of the afternoon.
- One more stopped effort from Morris was the end of the offense for the match, dropping the Saints 2-0.
