WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Saints women's soccer took the trip to Penn College on Sunday for a non-conference matchup against the Wildcats.
A tough battle, with MU on the attack for the majority of the match, fell to a scoreless draw, putting the Saints at 1-5-2 on the season.
NOTABLE
- The Saints outshot the Wildcats 13-3 in the match.
- Breanna Harkins had two shots on goal in the draw.
- Laney Placido and Leila Lajdel each had three total shots with one on goal.
- The Marymount defense put up their second clean sheet in their last four matches.
- Goalkeeper Layne Kaufman put up the shutout with two saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Placido looked to get the Saints on the board early with a power shot in the fifth minute, but it was ultimately swatted away by the Penn goalkeeper.
- Marymount continued to put offensive pressure on the Wildcats, with Placido again looking for the back of the net in the 41st minute, but went just wide of the goal.
- The second half saw MU putting up nine total shots, but were unable to find the net to take the match.

- The Saints will take a light week before heading to Hood College on Friday with kickoff slated for 5 PM.
- They will then travel to Division I Navy for a non-conference match on Monday, Sept. 25 at 5 PM.
