WASHINGTON, D.C. - Marymount women's soccer, coming off of their first win of the season, took the light trip to Catholic University on Wednesday evening for a Pope's Cup matchup against the Cardinals.
Marymount dropped the match, 3-0, to move to 1-4-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints held off the offensive threat from Catholic in the early going, with Layne Kaufman punching away a shot in just the second minute of play.Â
- MU held the Cardinals scoreless until the 30th minute of the match, when Catholic pushed through to take the early lead.
- The Cardinals went on the put one more in the net before the half in the 42nd minute to take a commanding 2-0 lead heading into intermission.
- One goal was the story in the second half, with Catholic sinking one more in the 68th minute to put the match at its final score of 3-0.Â
