ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount women's soccer powered four goals and a clean sheet en route to their first win of the 2023 season, taking down the visiting Gators of Notre Dame of Maryland Monday evening.
With the win, the Saints improve to 1-3-1 in the young season, looking to build on the strong win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first goal for the Saints came in the 17th minute, with Placido putting the ball in good position off of the corner, giving Davis the opportunity for a good touch to Mbuko who powered the ball into the net to start the scoring for MU.
- Mbuko was in the center of action again in the 32nd minute, finding Harkins with the open look to sink the Saints' second goal of the night to take a commanding lead.
- The Saints added another in the waning minutes of the first half, with Carillo-Torres notching her first goal in unassisted fashion.
- The two teams put together a solid second half, but Marymount was able to push through once more with a goal from Inofuente, who beat a few Gators' defenders to put up the fourth and final score of the evening.
