She has already begun her duties in preparation of the upcoming school year.

Kienstra brings vast experience and knowledge to Converse Family Fieldhouse, having stints at various other institutions across the NCAA.

"We are excited for Lizzy to take the helm of the Sports Medicine department," said Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development, Ryan Wildenhain. "She brings with her a wealth of experience that will enhance the athletic training services offered to our student-athletes."

Most recently in the collegiate athletics world, Kienstra was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Kansas State, where she was assigned to women's basketball, women's golf, and women's soccer in varying years.

Prior to her time in the Big XII, she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Saint Louis University, where she oversaw women's soccer, men's and women's swim and dive, and women's basketball, respectively.

"I'm thrilled to be part of the Marymount University family," said Kienstra. "It's an honor and privilege to provide care for our student-athletes as Head Athletic Trainer."

Kienstra will oversee all facets of the Athletic Training department, providing services to all 22 of Marymount's varsity athletics teams.

Holding a plethora of certifications and memberships to pertinent organizations, Kienstra holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science Certificate in Interprofessional Educations, as well as a Master of Athletic Training, both from Saint Louis University.

"I can't wait to spend the coming year caring for our student-athletes, and look forward to getting to know each individual and team's personalities, and focus on their well-being, health and safety, development, and performance," said Kienstra.
