ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Atlantic East Conference announced its first slate of weekly awards of the fall season on Tuesday afternoon, giving way to a pair of Saints garnering their first career honors.

Emerson Aber of women's volleyball garnered Specialty Player of the Week, with Philologus Smith of men's cross country picking up Runner of the Week.

Emerson Aber - Senior - Women's Volleyball Specialty Player of the Week

Aber facilitated the offense for the Saints in their 2-2 outing at the Battlefield Classic this past weekend. 

Notching 103 total assists, averaging 6.44 per set, the senior setter 37 blocks for 2.31 per set. She made her presence felt on the serve, knocking 11 service aces.

This is the first career honor for the senior setter.

Philologus Smith - First-Year - Runner of the Week

Smith led the listed Saints men in the 6k at the Spider Alumni Open, hosted by the University of Richmond this past weekend, finishing 102nd in 22:32.6.

Earlier in the week at the Eagle Cross Country Challege, hosted by Bridgewater College, the first-year finished 24th at 23:08.0, averaging 6:12.2 per mile.

This marks the first weekly honor for the newcomer.
