INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Marymount men's lacrosse student-athlete, Winston Horshaw II, joined 46 other sophomore and junior student-athletes across all three NCAA divisions, spanning the country, in a four-day hands-on program put on by the NCAA, the Legacy Lab. 

The event is an immersive student-athlete development program designed to help sophomore and junior student-athletes explore entrepreneurship while continuing their collegiate athletic careers. Participants engaged in interactive programming, mentorship, networking and hands-on learning designed to help transform their skills, personal experiences and ideas into sustainable ventures.

Horshaw II is a junior standout for the Saints. He was voted the 2026 Atlantic East Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference. He has also been a member of the Atlantic East All-Academic Team both as a first-year and a sophomore. 

"Legacy Lab was something that I was scared to do at first because it was something I had never experienced before, but looking back I'm so grateful I did," Horshaw II said of the experience. "I learned the ins and outs of business, how to build my own brand, and the steps I need to take to be successful not only on the field, but as a person. I met some great people and made many good memories that I'll never forget. If anyone has the opportunity to do it, they should make the most of it and they'll never regret it."
