How It Happened

Game One

  • Chad Singleton led off the inning with a single, and after two quick strikeouts, Bobby Leitzel reached on a single and Robert Moffett walked to load up the bases.
  • Ryan Maylie was given the bat in a pinch-hit role, and he came through, knocking a double to right center to clear the bases and give the Saints a 3-0 lead.
  • Immaculata scored once in the bottom of the seventh, but MU answered with one of their own in the next frame, carrying the momentum to the end and earn the series win in the rubber match.
