RADNOR, Pa. - Marymount baseball hit the road on Wednesday to kick off the Atlantic East Conference Tournament, playing the first round at Cabrini for a #2 vs. #3 seed matchup.
A late-inning comeback from the Cavaliers gave them the win, with MU dropping the game 5-4.

How It Happened
- After a scoreless first inning, the Saints got on the board first in the next frame. Smith led off the inning with a single, with Sodano powering his home run over the left field wall to give MU the early 2-0 lead.
- A Cabrini homer tied up the contest 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
- Smith led off the top of the seventh inning with a towering show over the left center wall, helping the Saints retake the lead at 3-2.
- The Saints tacked on another in the top of the eighth via a sacrifice fly from Ryan Maylie, scoring Cable who singled early in the frame.Â
- The Cavaliers plated three in the bottom of the eighth and closed out the Saints in the top of the ninth to take the first round game.
