IMMACULATA, Pa. - Marymount baseball saw their season end this morning, falling in the first elimination game of the Atlantic East Tournament to Neumann, 7-1.
The Saints finish their season with a 22-19 overall record.Â

- Bobby Leitzel went 3-for-4 in the leadoff spot with a run scored.
- Bryce Smith had a hit and an RBI.
- Owen Mead showed well out of the bullpen for the Saints, pitching 6.0 innings allowing just two earned runs and striking out four to keep MU within striking distance.Â
How It Happened
- After the Knights plated a run in the top of the first inning to get things going, the Saints answered in the bottom frame. After a leadoff single from Leitzel, he quickly stole second and found his way to third via a sacrifice bunt from Moffett. Two batters later, Smith smacked a single through the right side to score Leitzel and get the offense going for the Saints.
- Neumann put two more across the plate in the top of the second to take a 3-1 early lead.
- The top of the fourth saw the Knights plate two more runs to take a 5-1 lead.
- Strong pitching through the middle innings gave the Saints chances, but were unable to strike, falling in the game to end the season.
