Women's Lacrosse Drops Road Game at Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. - Saints women's lacrosse dropped a tight one at Marywood on Saturday afternoon, 11-7.

With the loss, MU moves to 9-5 overall on the year, being issued their first conference loss to fall to 2-1 in AEC play.

  • Riley Love had two goals on three total shots in the contest. 
  • Arayla Garcia moved up to 108 draw controls on the season with her seven during the game, inching closer to the single-season record of 125.
  • Abby Dunn picked up three ground balls and won three draw controls, adding two caused turnovers.
  • Taylor Chepren had a goal and three assists for four total points in the loss.
  • Megan Edens notched a goal, while adding two ground balls, two draw controls, and a caused turnover to her stat line.
  • Emily Peters put up a strong day, scoring a goal and adding an assist. She picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers.
  • Ella Baker and Kaylee Heath each added a goal in the game.
How It Happened
  • Marymount struck first in the game, with Baker and Peters each notching a goal to take the early 2-0 lead.
  • Marywood went on to score four unanswered goals to close out the half, sending the game into halftime with the Pacers up 4-2.
  • The Saints came out of intermission on fire, scoring four times, capped off by a Chepren unassisted goal to pu MU up 6-4.
  • After the two teams traded a goal apiece, Marywood went on to score six in a row to earn the win.

  • The Saints will be at home in their next matchup, taking on Neumann at Long Bridge Park on Wednesday, Apr. 19 at 4 PM.
