Men’s Lacrosse Gets Back in Win Column against Manhattanville

ARLINGTON, Va. – After surrendering the opening goal of the game, Marymount men's lacrosse responded to pick up a solid victory over Manhattanville on Saturday afternoon, 13-7.   

NOTABLE
  • Chris Bochilo and Ciaran Connolly led the Saints with four goals apiece.
  • Noah Hill (four assists) and Jack Williams (three assists) were the key facilitators for the Marymount attack.
  • Marymount's defense, led by Evan Motta (six caused turnovers), held Manhattanville to just 13-23 on clear attempts. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Manhattanville scored the opening goal just 56 seconds into the game.
  • Paul Vey and Bochilo quickly added two goals to put MU on top early in the first quarter.
  • The Saints added three goals in the last six minutes of the first quarter to hold a 5-2 advantage after the first 15 minutes.
  • After Manhattanville cut the deficit to two after scoring two goals in seven seconds, Bochilo tallied two more goals to put MU back on top 8-4 with 4:22 left in the half.
  • Connolly scored three goals in 2:19 across the end of the second quarter and beginning of the third to give MU an 11-5 lead.
  • Vey and Will Strausbaugh added two more goals in the fourth quarter to provide the final scoring in a 13-7 win.

  • The Saints will return to Long Bridge Park to host Juniata on Tuesday, March 7 at 6 PM.
