BALTIMORE, Md. - The Saints track & field men and women put together a strong day on Sunday at the Blue & Gold Classic event, hosted by Goucher College.

With multiple first-place finishes, MU has had a solid start to the outdoor season. 

Top Finishes

• Deziree Conklin-Boone earned first in the women's 100m hurdle event at 16.09, closely followed by teammate Brooke Hamer at 16.60.
• Zafit Olea took first-place in the men's 5000m run at 18:37.53, almost a full 40 seconds quicker than the second-place spot.
• Jada Noel notched the first-place finish out of a 12-person field in the women's discus with a 30.48m mark. 
• In an 11-person field, Samantha Healy earned first-place in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 48.23m, a full 8.44 difference from second-place. In the same event, Shayla Wynder earned third with a mark of 36.66m.
• Dylan Vallade picked up the top spot in the men's high jump event at 1.82m.
• Agnes Signou earned second in the women's 200m dash with a time of 26.96.
• Samuel Mercedes notched third in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 42.26m.
