SCRANTON, Pa. – Marymount women's basketball took control early on Saturday afternoon against Marywood and never looked back, winning by a final score of 53-36. The Saints improved to 10-1 in conference play with the win.  

NOTABLE

• Chandler Eddleton put together a second straight double-double and finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
• Symantha Shackelford finished with 10 points.
• 14 Saints got into the game for at least eight minutes. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• After giving up the first bucket of the game, Marymount responded and led 21-7 after the first 10 minutes.
• The Saints took a 21-point lead on a jumper from Chandler Eddleton with 7:26 left in the first half and held a 36-17 advantage at halftime.
• It was more of the same in the third quarter as the Saints took their largest lead of the day at 51-21 on a layup from Kyla Treadwell with 1:52 remaining in the frame.
• Marymount only scored two points in the fourth quarter but finished on top, 53-36.

UP NEXT

• Marymount will have a week off before hosting Immaculata on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1 PM.
• The Saints have also clinched the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic East Tournament and will host a semifinal matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
• The Atlantic East championship is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25.
