GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - The Marymount men's basketball team keep their hot streak alive, taking down the Griffins of Gwynedd-Mercy on the road after a powerful second half surge.
With the win, the Saints keep hold of the top spot in the Atlantic East at 7-1 in conference play.Â

- It was Wyatt Hockenberry pushing the offense on the night, dropping a game and team-high 20 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field, 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.Â
- Marcus Stubbs had 17 point in the contest, with a team-high seven rebounds to add to his line.Â
- Isaac Harris put up 14 points for the Saints, going 5-of-6 from the field.Â
- Jack Bifano had six rebounds off of the bench for MU.Â
- The Saints have won seven in a row after the victory, and haven't dropped a conference matchup since Jan. 7th.Â
- MU outscored the Griffins 53-to-26 in the second half of play.Â
How It Happened
- Hockenberry kicked off the offense in the game, sinking a three within the first minute of play to give the Saints the early lead.Â
- Down five, Peja Boyd nabbed a steal and drove down the lane, sinking the bucket and drawing the foul. After sinking the extra point attempt, the Saints were within two with plenty of time left in the half.Â
- A three from Ra'Shawn Cook put the Saints within four to end the scoring of the first half, sending the game into intermission at 29-25 in favor of the Griffins.Â
- Back-to-back buckets from Marcus Beckett to open the second half tied up the tally and started the Saints' momentum.
- The Saints took their first lead of the second half off the hands of Cook with 11:55 left to play.Â
- Down the stretch, Marymount put together a 34-12 run, capped off by a Hockenberry three, to take the hard-fought victory.Â
