ARLINGTON, Va. - The Saints kept their home win streak alive on Saturday afternoon, taking down the visiting Mules of Muhlenberg.
Taking them down by a final score of 82-72, Marymount moved to 5-4 on the young season ahead of a quick break in games.Â
NOTABLE
- Montell Cooper was the leader again in scoring for the Saints, dropping 23 points, while grabbing eight boards, notching five assists, and adding three steals and two blocks.Â
- Marcus Stubbs had 14 points with four assists and rebounds.Â
- Wyatt Hockenberry went 5-of-7 from the floor, good for 13 total points.Â
- As a team, Marymount shot 47.8% from the floor.
- The Saints have won four home games in a row.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Muhlenberg got ahead to a quick 3-0 lead, the Saints answered 10-2 run, with a pair of Stubbs three-pointers in the mix to take the early advantage.Â
- A jumper in the paint from Hockenberry gave Marymount a 10-point lead with under nine minutes to go in the half.Â
- The Mules found themselves within two, but a three-point play from Cooper gave the Saints momentum again, taking the game into the half with a six-point lead.Â
- Stubbs opened the second half of play with a three to push further ahead, keeping Marymount in the positive.Â
- Another three from Stubbs at the nine minute mark gave the Saints a sizable lead of 16.
- Marymount held onto the lead down the stretch, taking the game in strong fashion 82-72.Â

- The Saints will take some time away from competition before heading to the Wayne Profitt Classic right before Christmas.Â
