ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount women's basketball opened up their home slate on Saturday in Converse Family Fieldhouse, taking on the Generals of Washington and Lee.
A tightly contested game throughout, the Saints came up on the short end by the slightest of margins, 56-55, to drop to 1-1 on the young season.
NOTABLE
- Symantha Shackelford had a double-double in the losing effort, dropping 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, respectively.
- Chandler Eddleton led the scoring for the Saints, putting up 16 points. She added four total steals to her credit.
- Claire Smith had 13 rebounds in the contest, adding six points and three assists.
- Ella Morrison had six points and five rebounds off of the bench.
- Terra Dzambo had nine points.
- The Saints went 100% from the line, 10-10.

- Marymount will hit the road this upcoming Tuesday to Johns Hopkins.
