Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Handles Gallaudet on Senior Night

ARLINGTON -- Marymount men's soccer remained unbeaten at home this season with a steady 5-0 win over Gallaudet on Monday night at Long Bridge Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Leonardo Torres finished with three goals, putting him at 17 for the year, one shy of his school record set last season.
  • Carlos Varona and Darryl Cozier added the other tallies for the Saints.
  • It was a slow start before Marymount found the back of the net in the 14th minute to get the ball rolling.
  • Erick Shoetter-Rojas, Axel Gonzalez, and Dylan Hirmas picked up assists for MU.
  • The entire starting lineup was seniors on Senior Night except for Leonardo Torres
  • 33 Saints saw game action on the night.
HEAR FROM COACH KALIN
  • To the senior class: "I will forever be grateful for what you have accomplished at Marymount. You believed in me when I asked you to come on this journey. Together we achieved so much, but most importantly you will leave a legacy, a standard, for all future teams to shoot for. Thank you!"

UP NEXT
  • Marymount will host current top seed Neumann on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in a rematch of last season's Atlantic East championship game.
  • The Saints are currently 2-2-1 and are the No. 4 seed and will be unable to climb higher than the No. 3 seed. Marymount will be fighting to earn a first-round home game.
  • With a win, Marymount would move into the No. 3 slot. A draw or loss could push Marymount as low as the No. 5 seed depending on other results.
  • The first round of the playoffs is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, while the semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 31.
