ARLINGTON -- Marymount men's soccer picked up some much-needed momentum with a 4-1 non-conference win over Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday night. 

NOTABLE

• Leonardo Torres scored his 11th goal of the season. 
• 31 Saints saw action on Sunday.
• Brian Cruz picked up a career-high seven saves in the win. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Torres got Marymount on the board in the 35th minute with a strong strike off his right foot. 
• Darryl Cozier picked up his second goal of the season in the 42nd minute thanks to assists from Merlin Torres and Abdulrahman Altuhami. 
• In the second half, EMU cut the lead in half with a tally in the 56th minute. 
• The Royals appeared poised to find an equalizer but Marymount's defense kept them off the board the rest of the way. 
• Marymount iced the match with late goals from seniors Manny Gaunaurd and Derek Rivera.

I was really pleased with the overall team performance and a few guys showed they are ready to help us down the stretch."
