With the win, MU moves to 3-2 on the young season, winning their last three straight.

How It Happened
  • The first set was a strong battle between the two teams. A 5-to-2 run, capped off by a kill from Topich, from the Saints gave them a 12-9 lead.
  • It was Topich again hitting the deciding kill to take the first set, with Marymount using a 6-to-2 run to finish it out.
  • With MU attempting to make some comebacks, the Mustangs ultimately took the second set to even up the tally at 1-1.
  • The two teams came out to the third set in an intense back-and-forth, but the Saints used a quick four-point spurt to take a strong lead.
  • MU ended up running away with the third set, finishing it out with a final score of 25-to-15.
  • The fourth set would prove to be the decider, with Stevenson staying on the heels of MU throughout.
  • The match-deciding point came from a block off the hands of Moore, sending the Saints to their first win in front of their home crowd on the year.
