LANDOVER, Md. – Marymount track and field made the short trip to Maryland to compete in the Cardinal Track & Field Classic on Saturday. The women's squad finished in fifth place among 14 teams.

NOTABLE

• Avery Finnegan finished fourth in the women's 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:03.74.
• Deziree Conklin finished third in the women's long jump with a leap of 4.93 meters.
• Samantha Healy finished second in the women's shot put with a heave of 11.86 meters. She also finished second in the weight throw with a toss of 14.81 meters.
• Jada Noel finished fifth in the women's weight throw with an impressive toss of 12.70 meters.
• On the men's side, Cole Valente had a top-10 finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.27 to finish 10th.
• Cooper Anderson (18th, 7.51) and Samuel Struggs (19th, 7.53) finished in the top-20 in the men's 60-meter dash.
