IMMACULATA, Pa. – After leading by as many as nine points late in the third quarter, Marymount women's basketball faltered down the stretch, ultimately falling to Immaculata, 61-54 on Wednesday night.   

NOTABLE

• Chandler Eddleton went 8-of-11 from the field and scored 21 points.
• Terra Dzambo grabbed 11 rebounds.
• Symantha Shackelford connected on 4-of-12 shots from beyond the arc.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Neither team led by more than a possession during a tightly-contested first quarter. The Saints held the lead after 10 minutes, 13-11.
• Marymount started the second quarter hot, running its late up to 23-13 thanks to a Claire Smith layup with 7:03 to go in the half.
• Immaculata closed the half on an impressive run and entered the locker room tied 25-25.
• A Kyla Treadwell three-pointer with 40 seconds left in the third quarter gave Marymount a 44-35 lead.
• Immaculata strung together a pair of field goals with less than four minutes to play to take control.
• MU couldn't shrink the lead to less than two possessions and ultimately fell, 61-54.
