IMMACULATA, Pa. - Marymount men's basketball continued their winning ways in the Atlantic East on Wednesday evening at Immaculata, taking down the Mighty Macs by a final score of 68-to-51.
With the win, the Saints move to 4-1 in conference play, inching closer to the .500 mark overall at 8-9.Â

- Marcus Stubbs had a strong night on the floor for the Saints, dropping 18 total points with four rebounds in the contest. He went 6-of-9 from the field, 3-for-6 from beyond the arc, while adding three steals in the victory.Â
- Marcus Beckett continued to impress in conference play, also putting up 18 points for the Saints. The junior went a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range while grabbing two boards and dishing two assists.Â
- Wyatt Hockenberry finished out the double-digit scorers for the Saints, putting 10 on the board in the affair. He grabbed four boards, dished four assists, and nabbed three steals to be a force across the floor.Â
- Jack Bifano pulled down a strong 13 rebounds in the game, 11 of those being on the defensive end of the court. On the scoring end, he went 3-of-5 from the field for six total points.Â
- Isaac Harris had eight rebounds and three assists for the Saints off of the bench.Â
- Peja Boyd had eight points and four rebounds off of the bench for MU.
- This is the third win in a row for the Saints against the Mighty Macs.
- The Saints shot 42.1% from beyond the arc.
How It Happened
- Marymount came out of the locker room hot to begin the contest, going on a quick 14-to-1 run, capped off by a layup from Boyd underneath the basket, to take the early commanding lead.Â
- After Immaculata got within five, the Saints answered with back-to-back scores from Stubbs and Beckett to retake the double-digit lead at 20-to-10.
- The Mighty Macs continued to stay within reach as the first half progressed, but a three from Stubbs put the Saints back in command at 32-22 with just over five minutes left in the first half of play.Â
- Immaculata took a small run into the half to send the game into intermission at 40-to-27 in favor of the Saints.
- It was Marymount coming out of the half in command again, with Bifano scoring underneath and a three from Beckett to give the Saints early, second-half momentum.
- Bryson Hill nabbed a steal at the 13:10 mark and drove it down the lane, sinking the layup to give the Saints a 20-point lead at 55-to-35.
- Down the stretch, it was all Marymount, as they held on to the commanding lead to take home the conference victory by its final tally.
