The Saints responded with a four-run inning, a six-run inning, and another four-run inning while they held the Lynx to the three runs scored in the first two innings. The Lynx didn't give up with six runs added in the top of the sixth but were unable to catch the Saints as they added another three runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Lemery led the game with five runs but Fabre, Dickson, and Cable each added three. Smith tied a career best with four RBI after a homer brought in Lemery and Cable in the bottom of the fourth inning. Meanwhile Lee set a new career best with three RBI.
