ARLINGTON, Va. -- D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released their All-Region V teams, honoring standouts Jack McCarthy and Bobby Leitzel in the fold.

McCarthy was named Second Team All-Region by the ABCA and D3baseball.com, respectively, with Leitzel adding Third Team All-Region by the ABCA.

Jack McCarthy - ABCA Second Team All-Region - D3baseball.com Second Team All-Region

In his first season in a Saints uniform, catcher McCarthy stood out at the plate to earn the All-Region nods.

Batting .399 on the season, the highest mark on the squad, he had a 1.009 OPS on eight doubles and five home runs.

The local batted in 44 total RBI on the season.

McCarthy was named the Atlantic East Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference prior to the All-Region teams, proving to be a historic campaign for the rookie.

Bobby Leitzel - ABCA Third Team All-Region

In his final year for Marymount, Leitzel earned his way onto the All-Region squad for the second-straight season.

The shortstop batted .387 on the season with a .922 OPS out of the top of the order for the Saints.

Adding 35 total RBI, Leitzel knocked eight doubles, a triple, and a home run on the year.

Leitzel was named First Team All-Conference by the Atlantic East earlier this year.
