SALISBURY, Md. – After trailing by one at halftime, Marymount women's basketball used a dominant second half to top Salisbury on Saturday afternoon, 78-60.  

NOTABLE

• Symantha Shackelford netted 22 points for her fourth 20-point performance of the season. She also drained a season-high four 3-pointers to lead the Saints.  
• Claire Smith went 5-of-9 from the field for a season-high 13 points.
• Chandler Eddleton added 17 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
• Marymount extended its winning streak to seven games with the victory. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marymount led 20-15 after the first quarter.
• The Saints led by as many as seven in the second quarter but Salisbury battled all the way back to take a 34-33 lead at halftime.
• Salisbury started the third quarter by taking a 41-37 lead before Marymount put together an 18-5 run to take a nine-point lead with 1:02 left in the period.
• After a three from Salisbury cut Marymount's lead to three points with 8:49 left in the game, the Saints held Salisbury without a field goal for over eight minutes to take control of the game.    

UP NEXT

• Marymount will have next week off for final exams before traveling to face Washington & Lee on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 6 PM.
• The Saints will return to Converse Family Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 1 PM to host Gwynedd-Mercy in conference play.
