HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Leonardo Torres calmly scored the penalty kick to draw Marymount even and set off a frenzy in the Saints' cheering section.
  • Marymount's best chance to secure the win came in the second overtime as Manny Gaunaurd beat the keeper but had his shot expertly knocked away by Neumann's last defender to keep the game tied.
  • In the penalty kick shootout, Neumann missed its first attempt and was forced to play from behind.
  • Marymount made its first two attempts but had its third attempt saved by Neumann.
  • Jonathan Guevara and Derek Rivera nailed MU's final two attempts to force Neumann into a do-or-die situation on its final attempt.
