ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount played host to the Catholic Cardinals in Pope's Cup action on Wednesday evening, ultimately falling in the contest by a final score of 68-53.
With the loss, the Saints have dropped four in a row to put their record at 3-4 on the season, looking to bounce back in the coming weekend.Â

- The two teams started hot, going back-and-forth to open the contest. Hockenberry sank a fast break three to tie up the early game at five apiece.Â
- Catholic began to pull away in the first half, but a strong run from the Saints kept them in stride with the Cardinals. Before long, another three from Hockenberry put MU within seven heading into the half.Â
- The Saints opened up the second half with a three yet another three from Hockenberry to put them within four.Â
- Isaac Harris drove down the lane and sank a contested layup to give the Saints life later in the half after a powerful run from the visiting Cardinals.Â
- Catholic took control down the stretch and ultimately ran away with the victory by its final tally of 68-53.
