ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount women's basketball extended its win streak to four with a come-from-behind 56-51 win over Johns Hopkins on Sunday afternoon inside Converse Family Fieldhouse.  

NOTABLE

• The win marks the second straight win over a 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifier after the Saints topped Shenandoah last Tuesday.
• Chandler Eddleton led the Saints with a season-high 26 points. She added 10 boards for her third double-double of the season.
• The Saints shot 84 percent (21-of-25) from the free-throw line compared to 47.4 percent (9-of-19) for the Blue Jays.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Johns Hopkins started strong and led by as many as six in the first quarter. They led 14-10 after one.
• A back-and-forth second quarter ended with Johns Hopkins on top, 23-20.
• Marymount closed the third quarter on an 8-0 run to take a 39-36 lead heading into the final frame.
• The game remained within one possession until Symantha Shackelford scored a clutch bucket with 49 seconds left to give MU a 52-47 lead.
• Shackelford went 4-for-4 from the line in the final 15 seconds to ice the victory.

UP NEXT

• The Saints have a quick turnaround as they'll make the short trip to face Gallaudet on Tuesday at 7 PM.
• Marymount will return to Converse for one last home game before winter break on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 PM.
