ARLINGTON, Va. - The Saints played host to the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday evening looking to hop back into the win column after a tight loss to Amherst on Sunday.
Despite staying on the heels of the Marlins for the entirety of the game, the Saints fell by a final score of 65 to 56 to fall to 3-2 on the year.Â

How It Happened
- After falling down 8-2 in the first two minutes, Stubbs put the Saints back on the board with a three at the 17:47 mark to give MU life.
- At the 17:00 mark, Stubbs drove in the contested lane and sank the layup, earning the foul in the meantime to head to the line with a chance for the three-point play. The junior capitalized, tying up the early affair at 8-8.
- Down the stretch of the first half, Isaac Harris took advantage of the open look in the paint, putting the Saints within four heading into halftime.Â
- The two teams went back-and-forth to open the second half, with Bifano sinking a layup to put Marymount within two.Â
- The Saints battled down to the final minutes of play, but the Marlins ultimately held onto their lead, taking the win back to Virginia Beach.Â
