ARLINGTON, Va. – Marymount women's basketball continued its impressive start to the season with a resounding 70-56 win over Middlebury on Saturday night in the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament championship.

NOTABLE

• Chandler Eddleton was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament after going 9-of-14 from the field with 21 points against the Panthers.
• Terra Dzambo also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after draining three triples and scoring 15 points in the final.
• Symantha Shackelford also scored 21 points, going 12-of-14 from the free-throw line.  
• Claire Smith led the Saints with nine rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Marymount opened the game by scoring the first seven points.
• The Saints continued to roll and ended the first quarter with a 24-13 advantage.
• Middlebury chipped away at the MU lead in the second quarter. Marymount ended the half with a narrow 34-29 lead.
• MU pulled away in the third quarter with a 19-7 run in the frame and never let Middlebury get within nine points in the fourth to clinch the tournament championship.

UP NEXT

• Marymount will remain at home on Tuesday against Shenandoah. Tip-off is set for 7 PM.
