ARLINGTON, Va. - In a game that saw a total of 13 lead changes, Marymount men's basketball took down Rowan in the Converse Family Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening with a three in the final seconds.
With the win, the Saints move to 2-0 on the young season with more non-conference action coming into play this upcoming weekend.

- Marcus Stubbs had a strong night for the Saints, dropping 25 total points and going 7-for-16 from beyond the arc. He was the deciding factor in the game, sinking the three to ultimately take the affair.
- Montell Cooper and Wyatt Hockenberry each had 19 points apiece, with Cooper grabbing seven boards to add.
- The Saints took advantage of their opportunities at the stripe, going 17-for-20, good for 85%.
- Ra'Shawn Cook dropped 13 points to round out the double digit scorers for Marymount, adding five assists on the night.
How It Happened
- After the Profs started the game off with a quick 9-0 run, the Saints took a quick timeout to reset. MU answered after with a strong 12-0 run of their own to take the lead and give a glimpse into the contest ahead.
- The first half was anybody's game, with the two teams fighting back and forth, trying to capture momentum. When the half closed, the Saints held a slim 36 to 34 advantage.
- MU started the second half out hot, with Bifano coming down with a strong rebound, giving the ball to Cooper who drove down the lane to open the scoring.
- After the Profs took a 47-44 lead, Stubbs took matter into his own hands, sinking three straight three pointers to give the Saints the lead again, 53-47.
- After falling to a 88-86 deficit with just 10 seconds left to play, the Saints called a timeout for Head Coach Rogers to draw up a play. With the seconds ticking down, Hockenberry found Stubbs with a contested, yet makeable look, and the junior took advantage, sinking the three to send the place into hysterics and give the Saints the win.
