WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Marymount University women's swimming team concluded its 2019-20 regular season on Saturday afternoon at Catholic University, slipping to the Cardinals, 191-61.
Senior Hayley Elizondo and freshman Delaney Carey scored the three total individual top finishes for the Saints in the meet, while senior Jillian Ceol and junior Claudia Beuchert eached added top-three finishes.
Elizondo paced the squad with two first-place finishes, starting out in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.23 and following it with a time of 2:31.47 in the 200 breaststroke. Carey grabbed first in the 100 butterfly, touching the wall in 1:03.62, and added a second-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:09.44.
Ceol earned her third-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:17.49, edging out teammate freshman Jessica Riemenschneider by just .1 seconds. Beuchert wrapped up the top-three finishes with third in the 200 IM, clocking a time of 2:40.28.
