Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. - Marymount women's basketball sophomore Regan Lohr scored 22 points while the Saints totaled 22 points off of 22 St. Mary's (Md.) turnovers en route to a convincing 74-41 victory in conference contest Saturday afternoon at Verizon Sports Arena.
Marymount (15-2, 10-0 CAC) extended its home winning streak to 15 and its CAC regular-season streak to 17.
The Saints held their opponent under 50 points for the fourth consecutive game and ninth time overall this season. They entered the game ranked 18th in the NCAA in scoring defense, allowing opponents an average of just 50.6 points per game.
Marymount also entered the game ranked 15th in the NCAA in turnovers forced at 25.06 per game and 17th in steals at 14.4 per game.
Meanwhile, Lohr posted her second 20-point game against the Seahawks this season and her third in four career meetings. She is averaging 23.5 points per game against St. Mary's this season after scoring 25 in a 65-45 win on the road on December 2. On Saturday, she was 8-for-13 from the floor, including 5-for-9 in three-point range, and in two games this season, she has shot 58.1 percent (18-for-31) from the floor and 57.1 percent (8-for-14) from beyond the arc.
Senior Nicole Viscuso totaled her first double double of the season and the 14th of her career, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore Gabriella Haddad totaled nine points and eight rebounds, just missing her second double double of the season and career. Senior Leah Hurst added 10 points, five rebounds and seven assists and junior Tyffani McQueen had seven points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
The Seahawks (6-10, 2-8 CAC) jumped out to a 5-0 lead just 49 seconds into the game before a lay-up by Viscuso started a 13-3 run for the Saints who led 13-8 after the first quarter.
Viscuso totaled 13 points and six rebounds in the first half as Marymount led 30-16 at the break after holding St. Mary's to just 22.7 percent shooting from the floor.
Lohr totaled 16 of her 22 points in the second half while the Saints outscored the Seahawks 44-25, including 25-12 in the fourth quarter to improve their record to 8-0 at home this season.
Marymount wraps up its four-game homestand on Wednesday when it hosts Salisbury for a 6 p.m., contest at Verizon Sports Arena.
