Arlington, Va. – The Marymount men's and women's swimming teams swept CAC foe Salisbury on Saturday as the women downed the Gulls 121-84 and the men sunk the visitors 117-88.
Ross Wiley and Thomas Brierley paced the men's squad, each collecting multiple victories to bolster the team win. Wiley registered wins in the 200-yard IM (2:06.00) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.00), while also helping the 400-yard medley relay foursome open the meet with a triumph (3:41.90).
Brierley proved equally as effective for the men, posting individual wins in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.69) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:04.49).
For the women, Casey Thomas made the most of her senior day, collecting wins in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.79) and the 100-yard freestyle (55.19). Thomas also anchored the 400-yard medley relay squad that opened Saturday's competition with a dominant victory (4:14.28).
The Saints travel to York (Pa.) on Saturday for another head-to-head tilt. The league meet is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
